Job Duties: As an Assistant Professor teaching courses within civil and environmental engineering, the duties of this position include the following: Propose, advocate, shape, and implement the roadmap to establish a strong footprint and nationwide presence through research in the crosscutting field of Civil Engineering and Mobility; Support the CTR (Center of Transportation Research); and Contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the university.
Job Requirements: Doctorate degree in Civil Engineering domain. Also requires strong desire to conduct groundbreaking research in electrification, decarbonization, automation, and shared mobility of the US transportation system, including but not limited to electrification infrastructure, advanced materials for vehicle light-weighting, deployment of sensors and advanced computing technologies such as AI and ML in transportation systems, and advancement of the physical and digital transportation infrastructure to facilitate future mobility.
The employer will pay or exceed the prevailing wage determined by the U.S. Department of Labor.
