Clinical Assistant Professor (Supply Chain Management)

Job Title: Clinical Assistant Professor (Supply Chain Management)

Job Duties: Develop coursework and teach supply chain management courses within our online Master of Science in Supply Chain Management program; interface with an external online program management firm; and work closely with other faculty in support of program development. May also teach within the Haslam College of Business Executive, Non-Degree and/or Supply Chain undergraduate or graduate degree programs as determined by annual needs. Depending on qualification, may also assume program director responsibilities for the Executive MBA for Global Supply Chain and/or serve as a leader in our industry-focused research portfolio.

Job Requirements: PhD in Supply Chain Management, Sourcing / Supply Management, or related field from accredited institution plus 10 years of progressively responsible experience within a business or relevant higher education context. Also requires Qualification and experience to be appointed as an Assistant / Associate / Full Clinical Professor; Demonstrated record of high-quality and innovative teaching; Substantial familiarity with industry; Occasional travel to conferences; and ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the University. Preferences: Experience with institutions recognized for their expertise in SCM; Knowledge of both the operational and strategic importance of supply chain in both research and applied settings; experience teaching multiple subjects within SCM; experience with online delivery; demonstrated ability to engage, inform, motivate and develop teams; Demonstrated ability to build connections with students and external university partners; understanding of business school research and programming; experience in developing curricula; and ability to work in a team-based, client-centered, fast-paced and innovative setting. 

The employer will pay or exceed the prevailing wage determined by the U.S. Department of Labor.
